What Is a Commissionable Country?
A commissionable country defines where a purchase or qualifying action must happen for commission to be earned. Even if a publisher’s link is clicked globally, only conversions that originate from the advertiser’s approved countries count toward commission.
This is different from the offer region, which describes where the offer operates. Commissionable country goes a step further — it specifies the geographic eligibility of each conversion. A customer in an excluded country who somehow completes a purchase may have the conversion rejected during the advertiser’s validation process.
For global advertisers running localised campaigns, commissionable countries help ensure affiliate commission is only paid on sales that fall within the markets they’re actively targeting — protecting their budget from out-of-region traffic that doesn’t serve their business goals.
Commissionable Country on Involve Asia
On Involve Asia, commissionable countries are listed in the overview section of each offer’s page. Some offers mark certain regions as “International,” meaning conversions from a wide range of countries qualify. Others are tightly country-specific — for example, a Malaysia Airlines offer may only commission bookings with a Point of Sale (POS) in Malaysia.
Where Geo-Lock is enabled on an offer, users from non-commissionable countries are blocked from reaching the advertiser’s site through the affiliate link entirely, returning an error message instead. Publishers should check commissionable countries alongside region lock status before promoting to audiences spanning multiple markets.
