Validation Term

TL;DRA validation term is the number of days an advertiser takes to review and confirm whether a tracked conversion qualifies for commission. During this period, the commission stays in Pending Validation — tracked but not yet approved. On Involve Asia, validation terms vary by advertiser and are listed on each offer’s page under commission terms, alongside the payment and validation timeline.

What Is a Validation Term?

A validation term is the window of time an advertiser needs to assess a tracked conversion before approving or rejecting the commission. During this period, the advertiser checks whether the order was completed, whether it falls within the commissionable products and countries, whether the customer meets the offer’s eligibility conditions, and whether the sale has since been cancelled, returned, or flagged as fraudulent.

Validation terms exist to protect advertisers from paying commission on transactions that ultimately don’t represent genuine revenue. A customer who places an order and then returns it within the return window hasn’t generated income for the advertiser, so the commission is held until the return period has passed and the sale is confirmed as final.

Validation terms vary significantly across advertisers and industries. A fast-moving consumer goods advertiser may validate within days, while a travel or financial services offer may take weeks or months — reflecting longer fulfilment cycles, larger return windows, or more complex eligibility checks.

Validation Term on Involve Asia

On Involve Asia, the validation term for each offer is listed on its offer page under the commission and payment timeline section. Publishers can review this before applying to understand how long conversions typically take to move from Pending Validation to the next stage.

Once the validation term passes and the advertiser approves the conversion, the commission moves from Pending Validation to Pending Advertiser Collection. For service-based offers — such as hotel bookings or travel — the commission may sit in Commission On Hold until the service has been consumed before validation even begins. Only after all stages are complete does the commission reach Paid and become part of the publisher’s withdrawable balance.
