What Is a Base Payout?
A base payout is the floor-level commission rate for an affiliate offer — the standard amount a publisher earns per qualifying sale, lead, or action before any additional incentives are factored in.
Most affiliate offers run on a base payout alone. It’s the rate set by the advertiser for general promotion, available to any approved publisher on the platform. It doesn’t change based on a publisher’s traffic volume or performance unless a tiered commission structure is in place.
Where bonus commissions, upsize rates, or extra earning layers exist, they sit on top of the base payout. A publisher promoting an offer with a 5% base payout and an additional 3% bonus during a campaign period earns 8% total — but if the campaign ends, they revert to the 5% base.
Base Payout on Involve Asia
On Involve Asia, the base payout for each offer is listed in the commission details on its offer page. This is the rate publishers earn on standard qualifying conversions.
For certain offers like Shopee, the base payout can be supplemented by Commission Xtra — an additional earning layer for conversions from qualifying brand stores and products. In those cases, the base payout is still earned on every valid conversion, while Commission Xtra adds on top for eligible purchases.
