Involve Glossary

Cashback Publisher

TL;DRA cashback publisher returns a portion of their affiliate commission to shoppers as cash, after a purchase is made through their link. The cashback rate shown to users is based on the commission the publisher expects to earn from that sale. On Involve Asia, cashback publishers connect via the API to pull live offers and commission rates, so the cashback they advertise to users stays accurate.

What Is a Cashback Publisher?

A cashback publisher runs a platform — usually a website, browser extension, or app — where users shop through the publisher’s links and get a percentage of their spend back as cash.

When a user completes a purchase, the publisher earns the affiliate commission. A portion of that commission is then credited to the user’s account, often after a waiting period while the sale is confirmed, and can later be withdrawn or used as a balance.

Because the cashback rate is directly tied to the commission rate, it needs to be kept up to date. If an advertiser changes their commission, the cashback rate shown to users should reflect that change too.
