Involve Glossary

Lead Magnet

TL;DRA lead magnet is something offered for free in exchange for someone’s contact details, usually an email address. It’s designed to be valuable enough that people willingly hand over their information to get it. On Involve Asia, lead magnets are often the centrepiece of CPL (cost per lead) offers, where publishers are paid for each qualified sign-up they bring in.

What Is a Lead Magnet?

A lead magnet is a free resource or incentive – an ebook, checklist, discount code, free trial, or quote – given to someone in exchange for their details. The goal is to turn an anonymous visitor into a known contact the advertiser can follow up with.

For a lead magnet to work, it needs to feel worth the trade. A vague “subscribe for updates” rarely performs as well as something specific and immediately useful, like a free guide, a personalised quote, or a discount on a first purchase.

Lead magnets are common in industries where the purchase decision takes time – finance, insurance, education, and software – since capturing contact details early lets the advertiser nurture the relationship before a sale happens.

Lead Magnets on Involve Asia

Many CPL offers on Involve Asia are built around a lead magnet – a free quote, account sign-up, or trial – that the publisher promotes to their audience.

When someone completes that action through a publisher’s tracking link, it counts as a lead, and commission is calculated based on the offer’s CPL rate. This makes the lead magnet itself one of the most important parts of an offer’s appeal for content and email publishers.
