Clicks

TL;DRA click is recorded every time someone taps or clicks a publisher’s affiliate link, sending them toward the advertiser’s page. Clicks are the middle step between an impression and a conversion — they show audience interest, but don’t guarantee a sale. On Involve Asia, clicks are tracked in the publisher dashboard and are the starting point of the conversion flow that can lead to a commission.

What Are Clicks?

In affiliate marketing, a click is recorded each time a user interacts with a publisher’s tracking link. The click triggers the tracking system to set a cookie or record a click ID, attributing that user’s session to the publisher. If the user then completes a qualifying action — a purchase, sign-up, or install — the click is what connects that conversion back to the publisher.

Not all clicks result in conversions. A user might click a link, browse the advertiser’s site, and leave without buying. The ratio of clicks that lead to conversions is the conversion rate — a key indicator of how well a publisher’s content and audience match the offer being promoted.

Some platforms distinguish between total clicks and unique clicks. Total clicks count every tap on a link, including repeat visits from the same user. Unique clicks count each individual user only once, giving a cleaner picture of how many distinct people engaged with the link.

Clicks on Involve Asia

Clicks are recorded in the Involve Asia publisher dashboard as part of performance reporting. Publishers can see how many clicks each of their tracking links has generated, giving a view of traffic volume before looking at how many of those clicks converted.

Comparing clicks to conversions in the dashboard helps publishers identify which offers or content placements are driving genuine interest — and which may need a stronger call-to-action, better audience match, or a more relevant landing page.
