TL;DRAudience country is the country where the majority of a publisher’s audience is based — the geographic location of the people seeing and clicking their content. It’s set on a publisher’s property profile and helps advertisers understand which market the publisher is reaching. On Involve Asia, the audience country is a key part of property information and is used to match publishers with the right regional offers when advertisers search the publisher network.

What Is Audience Country?

Audience country identifies the primary geographic market that a publisher’s content reaches. A publisher based in Malaysia whose followers are mostly Malaysians has a Malaysian audience country. A creator based in Singapore whose content reaches audiences across multiple SEA markets may set their audience country to reflect where the majority of their traffic or following originates.

Audience country matters because affiliate offers are market-specific. A publisher whose audience is predominantly in Indonesia should promote Indonesian offers, since Shopee ID, Lazada ID, or travel offers targeted at Indonesian customers are the ones most likely to convert for their audience. Promoting a Singapore-only offer to a Malaysian or Indonesian audience risks generating clicks that fail due to region lock or simply don’t convert because the offer isn’t relevant.

The audience country can differ from the publisher’s own location. A Thai creator with a large following across the region may have a different audience country than their physical base, which is why it’s set on each property individually rather than tied to the publisher’s registered country.

Audience Country on Involve Asia

On Involve Asia, the audience country is part of each property’s profile information and can be viewed and updated by going to Manage Account and editing the relevant property. Publishers can update their audience country, property URL, and property name from within their account settings.

Keeping audience country accurate helps advertisers identify the right publishers when browsing the Publisher Directory, and helps publishers receive more relevant offer recommendations matched to the market they actually reach. When applying for an offer, the audience country should align with the offer’s campaign country to avoid promotions that can’t convert for the intended region.
